His actions confuse me. Does he see me more than just a friend?

I like this guy with whom I work with, but I only work part time so I don't see him all the time and he's not always in the office when I do work. We are good friends and a few months ago we started saying goodbye with a hug and a kiss either on the cheek, forehead & sometimes on the neck. I always initiated text messages and it was rare that he would respond to me even though just asking how he was doing & when he did respond, it would be maybe 2 days later. I tried to see him out of the office space but he always had an excuse. But everytime we were together at the office, we would have great conversations and he was sweet to me. Once he went a bit further than just a hug & kiss but I stopped him & asked him what his intentions were & he said that he just liked me as a friend. I accepted his answer and we said good bye. We continued as if nothing had happened, still talking well to each other and I feel that our friendship actually grew. We went out to the movies once and still talk about going again. Now everytime I text him he will respond just minutes later and he will initiate a text (but only if it's a special occasion, like a birthday or holiday). We continued to say good bye with a big hug but recently, for the last few days that I've seen him, he's added a small peck on the lips. What does all this mean? I am confused.
