Engine cylinder bored out? That mean it will break easy?

I've been looking at dirtbikes and I found one in my price range and it's exactly what i wanted but the engine cylinder has been bored out.. My friend told me I'd be spending a lot to replace the pistons each year and it's not worth it what should i do?
