Should I use a 1968 ford 302 in my 66 mustang?

I am rebuilding my 66 mustang, and it curently has a l6. I already have a 302 from a 68 mustang. I was planning on keeping the heads, pistons and crank. While changing, springs, lifters, cam, intake, 4 barrel carb, pushrods, and rocker arms. Is this a bad block to use? I want power, a shake at idle, the care to have great sound, and to possibly "twist" off of a hard acceleration. If not what type of blocks should I look for?
